To be more specific, her story is one of my favorites in the game. Every character has their mysterious and dramatic past, but Emeralda's story is remarkably simple: a daughter's love for her parents and devotion to them. She just wants the love of a family and to make her father proud of her. She spends 4000 years alone, and when she awakens she is taken advantage of to get at the powers she possesses, but in the end she finally finds Kim. Although we don't get to see a whole lot of her personality, her childlike perspective is entertaining, and when she does decide to grow up her character grows as well. Also, her character and Gear design are cool and she's badass in your party. What's not to love?

Xenogears is my favorite game of all time, and while the fan prescence on the net hasn't faded completely, a lot of my favorite Xenogears sites seem to be slowly disappearing or falling into neglect. Xenosaga's prescence is strong (and sometimes overbearing, lol) but a lot of people don't even know what Xenogears is! I already had my Billy shrine, but I felt that since I care so much about the game, I should just go for it and make another site. There have already been Emeralda shrines on the net, so I didn't think I needed to repeat that (although at this point I've written so much I might as well), but I noticed there wasn't a fanlisting and decided that this would be my next declaration of love for Xenogears... my eternal master. Okay, scratch that last part, it sounds creepy.
